    Another vote for 16” with the regular loop.

    No need for takedown, either. Just adds complexity and cost.

    I have one of these and I love it. Fit and finish is excellent, just one problem, I need a cool scabbard for it that will attach to a backpack.

    Do a search for mare’s leg holsters. I recall someone making leather ones on here for trappers to wear it like a long handgun. I think the bottom was open to allow for a longer barrel.
