I just missed a 12" .357 on the EE, so in a delirious moment of weakness drove the 30 mins. to Wanstalls and bought one on Tuesday. (Will be selling off a few guns to counter the cost, though.). I don't really need the TD feature (hell, I don't even need a .357 Mag. 12" lever action, but as we all know, "What does need have to do with it?") but it is a very nicely-made compact rifle, pretty slick right out of the box, with a crisp 4-lb. trigger according to my Timney scale.

I've replaced the small-ish aperture with a Williiams I had on hand, drilled out to .157, and may replace the red FO rod with green as I find it shows up better for me. I'd also like to add a nylon sling. I don't think the forend will take a sling swivel stud as the wood is pretty thin right behind the cap, but a magazine-tube swivel might just fit on the bit of exposed tube.

Next effort will be to brave whatever relatively decent weather we might get and head to the range. I have some Missouri Bullet Company 180 gr. "Pugnose" (WFN) that should do nicely with a dose of 2400, or, for maximum effect, Lil'Gun.
My doctor asked if anyone in my family was suffering from mental illness.
"No", I said, "We all seem to enjoy it."

When do you think you will be getting more in?
Do you ever bring in any with 16" barrels?
