Did it. For what it's worth.
"Guns don't kill people, the government does." -- Dale Gribble
"Knowledge isn't free. You have to pay attention." -- Richard Feynman
These has been much written on this forum about "the impact on gun owners" so anyone who does not feel comfortable writing a little essay about that has plenty of material to draw from by researching that in addition to their personal experience.
Besides the obvious loss of use, enjoyment, personal property, self defense etc. mention the recognized shooting sports like the Olympics that we can no longer participate in. Also point out the impact of "grandfathering" and the unfairness of it.
Make sure that you point out the impact to the economy of retailers, gun clubs and gun smiths plus anyone else like restaurants, transportation to / from, municipalities that we pay taxes to ........... Lay it on with everything that you can think of. The questionnaire is too narrow here so we have to be sure to open their eyes and the libs are too focused on the guns to think of this collateral damage themselves.
Send letters / editorials to gun friendly local papers / media because this window of opportunity may not be well advertised and only the most rabid antis are going to take the time to answer it. Having said that, they are going to mobilize their supporting associations like emergency physicians, criminologists, battered women's shelters, suicide prevention etc so I wouldn't be surprised to see tens of thousands of submissions that support full bans.
After 10 Nov I would assume that our gun orgs are going to make a freedom of information request to see the raw data and the results?????

I ####ing hate this kind of #### when Liberal keep pushing out this kind of NAZI agenda.............傻逼白左
Saving our semis is going to be a tough one. The definition that they use is a political definition and can be compared to the one for (future) NATO small arms:
NATO Future Assault Rifle Example:
1. Caliber: 5.56x45mm NATO according to STANAG 4172.
2. Magazine: 30 rounds according to draft STANAG 4179.
3. Barrel length: 260, 350 and 508 mm, free floating.
4. Mass: <3.5 kg unloaded w/o sight.
5. Length: <1.0 m with 350 mm barrel.
6. Life expectancy: >10 000 rounds according to D/14.
7. Accuracy: Must be able to shoot 10 rounds within 0.6 mils at 100 meters with NATO reference ball ammunition.
8. Rate of fire: <750 rpm.
9. Adjustable butt stock, adjustable in length approx. 80 mm, with adjustable cheek rest.
10. Ambidextrous controls.
11. Rails according to STANAG 4694, on top of the upper receiver, and preferable around hand
guard at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock.
12. An option of powered rail according to STANAG 4740.
13. Flash hider: TBD.
14. Muzzle thread: M15 x 1 RH.
15. All weapons controls must be able to be manipulated with gloved hands.
16. Ambidextrous three point sling positions.
17. Automatic bolt catch.
18. Being able to withstand NBC decontamination agents.
19. Safe ejection for both right and left hand shooters.
20. Compatible with sound suppressors.
21. Able to use training ammunition.
22. Iron sights must be able to be adjusted without special tools.
23. Screws that the user needs to manipulate shall be metric and use the same tool.
24. Internal parts should not need lubrication.
25. Minimal movement at firing.
26. Ease dismantling and reassembly.
27. It shall not be possible to reassemble incorrectly.
28. No small parts that can be lost during cleaning.
29. It shall be possible to install an electronic shot counter.
30. No degradation of accuracy and/or point of impact for hot weapon.
31. It shall be possible to mount a grenade launcher and fire rifle grenades.
32. It shall be possible to mount a bayonet.
33. No degradation of function with devices (sight etc.) with a total weight of 3 kg.
34. Parts shall be interchangeable according D/14.
35. The weapon shall be safe for the operator according to D/14.
The only way to save our AR's and 858 etc would be to fit them with permanently restricted magazines of 5 rounds or less and declaring the pinned 5/30 mags prohib. This skirts the political definition by making the functionality of our "assault rifles" identical to semi auto sport firearms and fails completely to meet NATO spec.
This looks like a compromise but in reality there is no change in use for those of us who have abided by the pinned mag regulation and for me is a lot more palatable than deactivating or destroying my guns. It also lumps us in with the sporting semi rifle / shotgun crowd which is a much larger group and by the wording of the questionnaire focused on "assault rifles" is a group that the libs would seem to prefer not to rile up.
Anyone have a better idea, let's hear it.

done
If they reject every submission where the respondent made an error, such as “improperly” entering information in the comment box but not clicking the Yes box, they will be very pleased by the feedback.
CSSA and now - on Trudeau's recommendation - CCFR
Make sure you save a copy of your response and send it in a snail mail to your MP.
I'm sure that our forward thinking gun orgs have a professional statistician working on a cost:benefit analysis and will supply it to their members shortly. You know how many guns affected and based on estimates of the number of times they have been used in crimes by legal owners or stolen and then used how much is this feel good going to cost and how many "one lives" are likely to be saved?
