I've been loading up 165 grain subsonic for my .308 but I'm limited by the 1:10 barrel twist. The 783 in 300 Blackout has a 1:7 barrel twist which means I'll be able to use 245 grain bullets. I can also resize free brass.

I had great success with 208 gr amax loaded subsonic in my 308 with a 10 twist. Shot it out to 200 with no issues. Even loaded them backwards and they shot fantastic. Weird looking but hit hard

I don't understand everyone's affection for these small, compact HEAVY bolt action rifles. I wish someone would come out with lighter options (yes, i know, Ruger American) or a single shot.

My local gun store told me they aren’t even on the order form for next year.. You can buy this rifle in a few calibres at Cabela’s, so the .300 should be available.

    Edit:

I know everyone wants a .223, .308 or a 6.5 Jenner, but some of us have enough guns that we want to play with something odd, like powder coating cast 240’s for the little .300.

Any updates when Remington 783 Synthetic Heavy Barrels in 300 Blackout will be available?
