Vote splitting sucks but Bernier wouldn't have bailed if Scheer had a chance.

I disagree with you saying Scheer does not a a chance. Andrew Scheer will be the next PM if he is supported by all that voted not only for Bernier, along with all other Tory leader candidates. Andrew Scheer is the Tory leader and he needs support from all or we get another liberal government. Let the lefty vote get split instead. Max Bernier can stir the pot AFTER the next election when he will have four years to form a major party, put forth polices and field candidates in all ridings. People need to be pragmatic in 2019.

Not off topic at all. This gun ban is strictly political. It will do nothing to deter the criminal use of firearms.* The Liberals have already conceded that. It's all about Turdeau winning votes in the next election. That was the whole purpose of this survey.

I really believe that Bernier has potential. Maybe not winning the next election, but the potential to become leader of the opposition with a ruling Liberal minority. Berniers 'People's Party' isn't even official yet. We'll see what happens when it becomes a legitimate party. But he's gonna need our consolidated support and our donations if he's to have any chance of success at all. We screwed up not getting Bernier elected as leader of the Conservatives. Had Bernier won, I am certain that the red Tories would have just sucked it up and supported him anyway. Now here's our only chance to reverse that mistake. Bernier is on the record for claiming that legally licensed gun owners should not have to worry about confiscation should he become the Prime Minister...
