Meaning of «#not based on the Remington 870#»

Is there a difference on the Kodiak’s receiver vs the the grizzly’s that you sold years ago?

I would like to buy a new Kodiak, but I absolutely want to put a shell holder on the side of the receiver. On the Grizzly’s the Rem 870 shell holder that you sell fits perfectly since the pins are exactly the same as on a Rem 870 and are the same distance apart... Would it be the same for the Kodiak?

Kodiak is not an 870 gun, so the dimensions are different.

Yeah but is it based on another well known design like the Mossberg 500/590 or any other?

It means they are completely different and there is no parts compatibility.

There are some side saddles for Turkish shotguns, but I'm not sure if they're compatible with these.

You can always go for velcro side saddles.

No 590 either. Turkey ain't China, they don't seems to replicate any foreign model that I know. They have a few designs (single, double, pump, lever, etc) that they seems to share between Turkish factories with some distinctive tweaks.

Like the Ricol, Armed and Huglu over-under are the same design with different markings, features, quality and reliability.
None of them seems to offer any accessories or support to their canadian dealers.

    Safest bet on these.

They should have never switched to Turkish made. The Chinese clones are great.

Specifically the Chinese 870 clones that were being imported. They were fantastic albeit a bit heavy.
