Is there any benefit to go stainless over the nitride model? Or is it purely looks?

Theoretically the stainless should be slightly more accurate but have a shorter service life. I say get what you think looks good becuase they will both perform exceptionally well for a very long time. Plus if you are shooting often enough to burn out the stainless in a short period of time, then money is clearly not too much of a concern for you considering you just blew through 10,000 rounds of ammo. In this way, you would just buy a new stainless barrel. Theoretically.

Savage barrels? Sorry for the thread hijack but can you provide any more details?
It's not denial. I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.
