    IIRC 80% Wool 20% nylon.
    These were the standard issue wool socks for a few decades.

    On Duray's website the nearest thing they currently list is a sock called "Federal", described as originally designed for the Canadian Army and 75%wool,/25%nylon. Worst case, that's a pretty good ratio of wool, and maybe the ones Army Surplus Inc. is offering here have slightly more wool. I'll take my chances, it's either quite good or even better. Especially at $5 a pair.

    You are indeed correct Mr Tooner.
    At the shop this morning I check the packaging and it says
    "75% Pure New Wool, 25% Nylon"

    I remember getting issued these socks throughout my fun in the Reserves , Regular Army, Reserves Again, then finally in the CIC....

    I even bought several pairs of them in Base Borden Canex....they work well! Great price! Super value!
