    Sig P210 price

    Hi,

Just curious why the Sig P210s price is so high, is it the collectors value? are they super rare? or just extremely well made.

EDIT: refering to what i assume are the surplus pistols, not new in box ones.

    Thanks

Because the old ones are built like a Swiss watch, new ones , I don't know, not many made?

Limited number of them...price is only gonna go up year after year too.

They have gone up approx. $1,000 since I "really got into gun" which was around 2010.

Multiple reasons I assume. Highly collectable, high quality, limited quantity item. Canadian dollar drop in value.

I recently purchased the modern version, made in the USA... If you're into bullseye type shooting, you like accuracy and a good trigger, shooting with both hands or with one, you will appreciate a P210. Modern version is around $2k, not too bad if you ask my opinion...!

The Swiss P210 is a finely built gun and they aren't making them anymore. Think what you like but when Tradex last had some before this bunch in they went like hotcakes....priced $2700-2900 plus tax and shipping as I recall. I guess the market has moved up even higher by the look of how these ones sold.
Even spare mags are also very dear.....$200-250

Likely equal parts of: quality, rarity, accuracy, and snobbery.

I reallllly love mine. An old school P210-1, WITH the matching green box (see, snobbery). Easily worth the $3,000+ I paid for it.

Same reason we buy HK P7's, Quality #1, uncommon # 2, #3 looking down your nose at the plastic stuff LOL,
I have never had one, maybe, but my bulls eyes days are shaky
P.S. one thing I have learned collecting/ selling handguns for way too long, you never go wrong buying quality, hi end stuff.
