    Good looking rifles guys.

I've been thinking of buying one myself. The one thing that's holding me back is in Alberta you can't hunt big game with a .22 cal round. I live in MB now, but will be moving back next year.

2 of the 3 deer killed were shot with 6.5 Grendel as 223 is not legal in Alberta as you are aware. This is the first critter I have shot with this cartridge and I gotta say it just continues to impress the hill out of me. We have been playing with it out to 660 yards and no issues make the steel swing. Robyn has been using this rifle for the last 2 years in PRS matches and has not had any issues keeping up. We sortof figured 330 yards was pushing the envelope but I am now thinking 400 to 450 under ideal conditions would still make for an ethical kill. Watching hers go down bang flop and then mine doing the same frankly surprised me a bit as I am used to 300 Win Mag and larger for hunting.

Sorry, not convinced that 25 cal is better than the 6.5 especially in this configuration. The reason being the 25/45 Sharps is not mainstream , yet. Interesting concept but still limited in projectile weights and B.C.s
I plan to try the 6.5 Grendel with heavier bullets this summer just to see what comes of it.

I was being a little facetious with my comment about the 25/45 being better than the 6.5 grendel...The grendel has better bullet selection, better BC, and more coal can be stuffed behind the bullet.
The 25 cal is only better in my eyes cause it's an odd duck, and takes standard AR mags. It will kill deer size game....just not as far as a grendel will. I prefer to get closer to my game rather than snipe them
    from long range.
My only point is there is no reason to hold out getting a MV because of the 22cal rule in Alberta...Just get a bigger cal. Like the old saying..."Once you've gone black....you'll never go back" :-)

Dude 300 yards out here IS close range!! I was hoping to let my 300 Norma do some speaking but the friggin deer would not co-operate and stay our there at 800 or 900 yards. It broke my heart that I had to borrow the little ladies gun because the deer were too close.
