which lead to Rick taking this doe with a 6.5 Grendel, using Hornady Black 123gr SST. Much closer in, around a hundred yards.

Hey Rick what scope you got on there? Leupold?

I’m putting a VX3I 4.5 14 LRP on my .223 rifle, but will eventually move it over to my 6.5 Grendel, when I get my second set.

I’m planning on shooting a big bull moose with it , next fall

6.5x20x50 Leupold LRP. It is ok but certainly not a PST Gen 2 or a NF

I had one of the 6.5-20 with a fine crosshair.

I shoulda kept it, I liked it better than my PST Gen 11 5-25.

I found the reticle in the pst to cluttered for hunting and target shooting,at known distances.

The sock was washed before installation. I would never put a dirty sock on such a beautiful rifle but had not thought of the emergency toilet paper angle. Thanks!! You can still adjust the scope. I thought it was pretty clever but a dozen coyotes since then may disagree. The only downside to the MV is you wipe out the coyote population in an area and have to look for new hunting grounds. I'm having to look for new spots near Edmonton.

Sorry about the coyotes problem Bill.
Maybe we can start something new and provide buyers with "coyote seeds" so they can grow more. It may be a while though as I am still working on the "bacon seed" project.

Nicely done!! Sure illustrates how more magnification eats light transmission.

a few extra features happening there too though, the wide angle is a gopro attached to the scope tube with a handy little mount one of our guys whipped up. The zoomed in, is a canon EOS 70D with EF 70-200L F2.8. 2.8 is actually a wide aperature, but the gopro has always been very generous with light and exposure. I could have increased the brightness of the zoomed in a bit post production, but at the time, my messing around with the camera's caused 5 of the 6 deer to take off. Figured shooting into a blank hillside with perfect exposure was a bad order for priorities.
