I have snap caps for practicing.

The criminal code also has a rule about that, unless there are no rules about discharging firearms at your location.

Hello all.

Yesterday the CFO gave me the nod to bring home my first handgun. I opted for a sig 1911-22 to help me get started, and on target, before purchasing a 9mm...I'm leaning towards the x5.

Anyway...my question is about handling my firearm at home.

-am I permitted to handle it unloaded at home? Cleaning...at the least...carry in house unloaded?
-does it need a trigger guard if I do?

I think nobody really cares who the instructor is. Cleaning, dry firing , handling at home is not part of the course.

as far as ammo goes, I didn't even bring any home yet. I will purchase some snap caps.
I do my range safety course on the 20th of December.

It does say newbie.
