Pardon my ignorance but I have never reloaded before... is that everything I need minus the consumables (projectiles, powder, primers) for reloading? Looks like I might need some dies as well, but now that I’m shooting more I should look into this a bit. Thanks in advance mike
Correct - this supreme kit comes with what you need to get started (minus, as you mentioned, the consumables).
Contents:
• Rock Chucker Supreme Press
• M500 Mechanical Scale
• Uniflow™ Powder Measure
• Hand Priming Tool
• Universal Case Load Block
• .17-.60 Debur Tool
• Hex Key Set
• Case Lube Kit
• Powder Funnel
• Nosler #7 Reloading Manual

A shell holder, and digital callipers can be picked up for not very much money, and are required. If you’re loading bottleneck cartridges a trimmer would be needed before long.
That’s a good price for a good kit, I picked up the ‘supreme deluxe’ recently - nearly the same but included the Chargemaster.
Hey, NorthPro, I broke my "Rock Chucker Supreme Single Stage Press Large Primer Plug, Sleeve and Spring" (I think the part number is 22 in the manual, though I may be wrong).
It's this thingy:

Do you carry it?
Long live Alberta.
I just went thru this learning experience this year. So, here is my 2 cents. If you want to reload for the science and pastime of doing it, go for it. If you are simply trying to save money on the rounds, you will get frustrated and sell your kit.
First off, to get in to it fully, double the kit price and it puts you in the park. Yes, you can buy low end dies, and not buy some accessories, but in the end you will likely be frustrated with your rounds. Note that I'm loading 308 for precision shooting, so my investment may be higher than what you need.
However, reloading isn't exciting work if you are just trying to save a few cents a round. Also, if you shoot say Hornady projectIles, then this book isn't great.
Good luck. RCBS is great stuff..
