Ordered mine Nov 22nd, CANPAR picked it up Nov 26, got to their Toronto terminal on Nov 29th...3 days to get to the Toronto terminal??? Tracking says it left the terminal Dec. 1st, 4 days ago. I live an hour away. Still nothing. Called CANPAR, on hold for 27 minutes listening to a recording of how great they are, when I got through, the person could only tell me what was on the same tracking that I can check online. They have no idea where a box of 1000 rds of .223 AE ammo is. Do they hire convicted baggage handlers from Pearson?

I've had boxes show up both ways - loosely folded, and also with black zip tie.

Sealed with a black tie wrap. Box was beat up.

My federal 1k .223/5.56 are always plastic wrapped with a black zip tie.

Dump them into a .50 cal ammo can, should be obvious if it is 1k or not. Fills it pretty well, that or weight it.

That's how my tracking goes. Ontario to somewhere in AB or BC, then a couple of days later, at my door. No other warning.

I've had both zap strap and folded bag.

Hoping to get my hands on my order soon. Canpar attempted delivery yesterday, of course no one was home as their tracking system is not very helpful. Tried calling customer service to have Canpar hold the box at depot so I can swing by and pick it up instead. Keep getting a busy signal... Dealing with Canpar compared to other shippers is a challenge, to say the least.

Now to answer the OP, never bought bulk from AE but the bag my Lake City ammo came in was also loosely folded in the box...

    count 100 rounds, then weigh.

    now weigh the plastic bag.

Now weigh all rounds in the plastic bag and do a subtraction... should give you +/- 3 rounds of ammunition.
Envy green is not a color well worn. Might want to quit while you're ahead

Mine have never been sealed, the top of the bag has always been rolled. I also find the shipping boxes of loose rounds get more beat up, maybe because or the lack of the structure from the individual ammo boxes inside.

Mine was sealed like this too. Still is.
