I currently make subsonic rounds using 165 grain RNFP with my bolt action .308 and it's been a lot of fun! I am limited by the 1:10 barrel twist and want a rifle to shoot heavier bullets. Having a semi auto that works reliably would be a plus.

I am assuming your 300 Blackout barrels are 1:8 twist?

I was also wondering if you used a chronograph on the 208 grain rounds. I'm curious if they are still subsonic with the 18.6" barrel.
This week I will take the chronograph with me to the range and get some testing done for you. Any reason to shoot works for me.

From my testing today the 208gr 300 blackout from Hornady is doing an average of 1090 feet per second out of an 18.6 barrel. I had a few that ran as high as 1170 but only 2 out of 80 rds ran that fast.

Thanks! What barrel twist are you using for 300 Blackout?
It's not denial. I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

The barrel twist rate on our .300 blk is 1/8. Pretty standard.

Have you had chance to try XCR-L 10 round pistol magazine with the 7.62 x 39 upper? If so, did it feed ok?
