Even the 17 hornet is a huge step up from the 17hmr. The 17 Remington was a favorite among some coyote hunters that I knew years ago. It killed them quick, and seldom exited.

^yep. I have a 527 Varmint in 17 Hornet, one of my favourite rifles. 17 Hornet does what people CLAIM 17HMR can.

I'd consider this offering too....but can't/won't use both. Love my 17 Hornet though!
