    FX 9 Malfunctions

    I'm experiencing two distinct failures:

    1) failure to go into battery from the open bolt. This is happening with OEM Glock 17 10 and 10/17 mags, OEM Glock 19 10/15 mags, and Magpul G17 mags. I won't even mention the POS mag that came with it. It doesn't happen every time which is the frustrating part. A mag that works twice in a row doesn't work the third time, for example. It can occur with as few as 7 rounds in the magazine.

    2) failure to extract leading to the apparent "double feed" as pictured earlier. This seems to most often happen on the first or second round fired. But can happen other times. Also, not attributable to specific mags.

I've got at least 300 frustrating rounds through this gun so far and have never successfully fired 3 mags in a row without a malfunction.

I'd give this gun a hard pass if I knew then what I know now.

Any suggestions on how to make this gun run?
    Whatever

It is clean, it is lubed.

How exactly, does that fix failure to extract? Enquiring minds want to know.

What point does this magical break-in occur at?
    Whatever

I'm thinking about picking one of these up but I keep seeing these feeding issues.
What's considered hot 9mm? And what's considered a break in period?

Feeding could be improper seating (not saying it’s your fault, could be Mag catch is faulty or magwell is too open and mags wiggle).
Extraction, how many different types of ammo did you use? Have you checked the extractor to see if something is broken/missing? It sucks that it isn’t working but you need to eliminate reasons for it not working until you find the problem. Or send it in for warranty.

The only thing you didn't try was different ammo, is that correct?

return for refund and buy a JR carbine lol maybe?

But realistically at that point, id ask to ship it back for free to where ever u bought it from, and have the company deal with it.
Just saying it how it is.....

I had mine out this afternoon.

Only put one box of Magtech through it.

Used the mag that came with it and a Magpul 10/17.

5 rounds at a time. Forgot my loader and it was cool out.

    Ran flawless.

I gave it a quick shot of G96 for lube.

The ammo is about 10 years old.
