I have a gen 5 Glock 17... bought it new and mine as absolutely no marking unlike the barrel shown here. Even my gen 4 which have seen thousands of rounds through it, did not even looked that "wear and tear" .

Ya sure...but what does this say about GLOCK QC.....less than ideal...however when you bang out 10,000 a week....your QC guys gets tired!!
