"It's Finally Here! The trailer for the CCFR's Canada Downrange TV Show - WildTV "

Rod Giltaca posted this in the general forum, and frankly this message is more important than anything else that's going to show up on the main page of CGN! So I'm reposting it in our sponsored forum in hopes that the extra visibility will have EVERY single gun owner in Canada seeing this, and appreciating just how much the CCFR has done, and is doing for us all!

Merry Christmas Rod, Tracey, and every single CCFR volunteer and member and THANK YOU!

It was a ton of work but it's finally here. Congratulations to gun owners across the country. This is the first TV show in Canadian broadcast history focusing entirely on target and sport shooting. It starts Jan 2nd on WildTV. WildTV is a speciality cable channel so if you don't have it you can subscribe via your cable provider. You can also see it on https://myhuntfix.com/ as well. Season two and a few more surprises are incoming. Thanks to everyone who supports the CCFR, this is all you!

I'm not on here much but here's what the CCFR has been up to since March of this year (introduction on Bill C-71):

Held two fully promoted press conferences on Parliament Hill in Center Block and featured on CPAC. Yes, gun owners do have a voice in the mainstream.
https://youtu.be/QJISacQ8sQ8
https://youtu.be/qs5Iw5QxrF0

Testified as expert witnesses against C-71 before the Standing Committee on Safety and National Security

Conducted over 50 media interviews including syndicated CBC, television and live "in studio" shows (no more "we can't get on mainstream media" excuses!)
You can find many of them here: https://malgeo.wixsite.com/interviews/rod-giltaca

Produced 9 social media political video ads that have been seen over 500,000 times in Canada alone
Sample: https://youtu.be/d1xZY_LMSG0

Produced and sponsored several political meme ads that have been viewed over 100,000 times (sponsored on Twitter & Facebook)

Promoted parliamentary petition E-1608 against Bill C-71 to the second most signed e-petition in Canadian history

Hosted a roundtable event on Parliament Hill attended by 7 MP's and staffers

Funded and hosted multiple "Town Hall" events with MP's and the public around the country

Met with members of the Senate (last process for C-71) & lobbied extensively in Ottawa on behalf of gun owners. Check out the Lobby Canada Activities link to see who's been there and how many times: https://lobbycanada.gc.ca/app/secure/ocl/lrs/do/clntSmmrySrch Then type in "firearms" into the search.

Produced bi-weekly podcasts to keep gun owners informed
https://podcast.ccfr.ca/episodes-page/

Attended the Conservative Party of Canada convention in Halifax and made the front page of the Halifax Star while in town.

Been officially labelled as the "Canadian NRA" by the Liberal Party of Canada (interesting honour...)

Was invited by the Minister to participate in the "consultation" on a handgun and assault weapon ban.

Completed filming for "The CCFR's Canada Downrange" TV show to premier Jan 2, 2019. A huge breakthrough to humanize and legitimize gun owners in Canada. A) We've hit the mainstream, B) This is only the beginning, stay tuned...

Sponsored a full year of one-minute ads on WildTV to mobilize hunters and fishermen to get active in advocating for their own rights. This is one of the keys to developing a powerful gun lobby that creates sufficient political pressure to change a government's course. (We aren't there yet)

The CCFR has done all this and more since the introduction of Bill C-71 (8 months ago, we've been busy).

Sweet! Awesome accomplishment!

I must say, if that second quote is a recent list of CCFR accomplishments, I think I may need to become a member... right now.

Looks cool, so is this only on the wildlife channel ?

I'm not usually the pessimist in the crowd but... This being aired on WildTV will NOT reach the people who actually need to see something like this.

People who wouldn't usually watch this type of thing aren't watching WildTV and they aren't going to go out of their way to sit and watch. That's like me sitting down and willingly watching Say Yes To The Dress... Not going to happen.

I fully applaud them for what they are doing but unfortunately this show is just another case of preaching to the choir.

Now if they could get it aired on one of the mainstream channels that may be a step in the right direction. But once again, not going to happen when all the mainstream channels and their programming are owned and operated by Liberals.

Apologies in advance to everyone who doesn't share my sense of pessimism on the topic.

You are definitely right. this won't target people outside the shooting sports....immediately. However Rod and the team really lit the fire on something big.

Just by producing this show, we can expect snippets to start filtering into those venues that we are hoping to enter into.

I paid for a family membership with the CCFR and I can't say enough about how impressed I am with the accomplishments over the last several months.

Keep up the great work CCFR

I'm not so sure on this unfortunately. It's a small channel, and really isn't something a ton of people subscribe to.. especially when it comes to people who might be in a position to bring light to these videos and also have access to the spread of people we're hoping to reach.

I think it's an awesome trailer, probably going to be an awesome show, but I'm not so sure it'll actually reach who it needs to reach to sway public opinion. I hope once it's up and running CCFR gets back to producing some more stuff for YouTube. They went silent right when things got messy with firearm rights in Canada which is really really unfortunate.

Huge supporter of CCFR here, but I don't think this show alone will sway public opinion. I just hope this will get the CCFR some needed attention, members, support, which in the end will hopefully help sway public opinion and allow them to get active again on the various platforms out there. Well produced nformational videos would be HUGE right now for our community. I expect that to some degree this is their grand plan.

BINGO! Even picture this, possibly walking into the lounge in Boston Pizza and seeing that on one of the screens. Maybe down the line this can appear on Netflix, or Amazon prime. This is a first step and it's a critical first step at that. This is a tool of propaganda, to show our side of the equation and the potential uses for that are incalculable.

Hell, start writing the CBC to pick up this new Canadian show, they're always looking to make their minimum Canadian content quotas. If nothing else the replies will be hilarious!

The CBC is too busy working on remaking the beachcombers or littlest hobo. Maybe when we vote out Trudeau in October he can get a job playing old relic .

I think it might get some Fudds on our team. That's a plus to me.
