Buddy ordered a few of the ASC XCR Pistol mags for the Stag 10, but they don't seem to seat properly. They don't seem to catch the magazine release properly and wiggle themselves loose to fall out, this a common issue?
There seems to be possibly a few different issues when it comes to these mags. Some the window doesn't line up with the catch front to back. Some of the slots for the catches in pre 1000 serial number guns were milled to shallow, and the mags being a bit loose are an issue. Really wish the ar had a tilting catch(like the bolt release) this would have allowed allot wider range of mag widths to work... we are playing with .020"engagement.... were it should be .200 in my opinion.

The LAR 15, 10 round pistol mag. Does that work in an AR? Just making sure?
From what I gathered here and there the issue might be with the Stag 10 mag release, the Norgon is the usual fix.
Not talking from experience tho since I don’t have mags yet, only receivers for now... parts on orders tho

From my personal experience using XCR-M 10rd pistol mag in a stag 10, the bolt catch doesn't allow the mag to seat deep enough. 30 seconds with a file or grinder on the back of the mags fixes the problem.
Heard some people had trouble getting 10 rounds in the ASC 20/10 rounders. Some people said they could only feed 9 reliably.
I thought they rectified that problem by crimping the mags slightly lower?
