    Customer wait times

    Hello,

This is an open letter to all past, current and future customers of M14 Medic Firearms.

I must apologize to all my customers. This business is a part time endeavour for me. I have a day job, that supports my family and pays the bills. The “day job” has taken much more time and effort than is the norm lately, and my part time business has been picking up more traffic in and out of the shop. As such my lead times have grown from 2-4 weeks to 10 weeks +(in some cases).... The day job issues are beyond my control, and are not showing any indications of change for the fall season.....

Please bear this in mind when you send me work. I am a 1 man part time operation. Subject to the whims of a full time employer and the needs/wants and responsibilities of a husband and father. I will endeavour to complete your project in a timely fashion, but I am unwilling to cut corners on the workmanship that exits my shop. I also try to complete projects in the order they are received. Wether it’s a basic accurization job or a full NM bedding job, I only have 2-3 packages open at any given time to reduce the chances of mixed up projects. This can also excacerbate the back-log, but it maintains a reasonable order to the work-flow and ensures that the correct work is done for the customer.

I thank-you for the understanding and the patience my current and past customers have shown over the last few months. I appreciate your business and will endeavour to meet your expectations.

    John

Very honest of you to state this.

    From your FAQ page.

Current turn around times are 1-2 weeks after receiving the rifle.

Perhaps it’s time to update that as well.

Good luck with both endeavours. Worth the wait for such good work.

Appreciate the work that you did on one of my rifles. Well worth the wait even if its ten weeks!

Quite reasonable and totally understandable. Many of us are in the same boat. Friends send me firearms to look at and they just sit at the post office for a week because the older I get, it seems like my day job gets more demanding... shouldn't it be the other way around?
