CGN frequent flyer
Hmm I remember a few people suggesting to give it a tap with a rubber mallet. Guess that would have done the trick.

As the OP I would like to thank Arms East for their great service and patience. I have never owned an AR 10 before, but have owned 2 cheapie M4s, and thought I knew enough that this rifle should have broken down much easier. Obviously I was wrong. After pounding on it myself and bearing all of my weight on it I could not get it to pivot. Nervous to bang on it with a mallet (which I own) I made the mistake of going online, whining a bit and looking for a solution first before contacting AE directly. My apologies and again thanks for the service and to everyone who offered suggestions. I'm really looking forward to getting the rifle back and taking it to my range.
