I would be in for barrels in both 458 Socom and 50 Beowulf

We have made the ejection ports oversized on the Sporter specifically so that big bore cartridges will work.

How much oversized is it in terms of lenght and width? Ejection port cover still sealing properly all around?

Ejection port cover still fits and covers but the port itself has been enlarged so that the big bore casings will eject without hassle.

    There's Mil-spec, and then there's Gunnutz-spec.
One is stringent, the other contains nuts.

We are looking at possibly doing a run of barrels, BUT the costs of the specific tooling to drill, rifle, lap then chamber them is not a small amount of money if we are only going to do 2 or 3 barrels.
Needless to say until we have some sort of number of barrels to spread the costs of the specialty tooling across we don't have a price, but for sake of argument lets say $950.00 for a stainless match quality barrel any contour.

Are there enough guys wanting a big bore ?
Can you send me details on what 18.6" 5.56 barrel you can do for the MS?

I dont like the other options,

    thanks

We have a potential line on ammunition for the beowulf, and I'm told the 450 bushmaster single stack magazine feeds and holds 5 beowulf rounds. That's where some of this conversation is coming from...

I would be very interested in a big bore option for the MVS. I want to buy a second upper for mine specifically with this in mind.

If that’s true I’m in. Already have 2 uppers ordered. I’ve wanted a Beo rifle since I read about the ammo.
