So how much demand would there be for 18.6" 50 Beowulf barrels?

As the title asks how much interest would there really be?
We have made the ejection ports oversized on the Sporter specifically so that big bore cartridges will work.

We are looking at possibly doing a run of barrels, BUT the costs of the specific tooling to drill, rifle, lap then chamber them is not a small amount of money if we are only going to do 2 or 3 barrels.
Needless to say until we have some sort of number of barrels to spread the costs of the specialty tooling across we don't have a price, but for sake of argument lets say $950.00 for a stainless match quality barrel any contour.

Are there enough guys wanting a big bore ?

I wish but the 2 round magazines kind of kill it for me.

Good point, I had forgotten about that.
We are also looking at the 458 and 450 chamberings. Just trying to gauge interest.

That’s great if you already have magazines. If a Canadian company could make some new ones with Beo followers I’d be all over this. But for now I’d have to import magazines from the states and they’d be pinned to 5 rounds of 5.56.

Big bore would be fun providing we can get proper mags that allow 5 rounds.

I think looking at 450 bushmaster would be a little better option, as the magazines are proprietary and won't load .223/7.62x39 or any of the other double stack cartridges. As far as I know they're the only big bore AR15 magazine that's actually legal to use with 5 rounds compared to the 50 beo and 458 socom that are limited to 2.

I agree I think 450BM is the way to go seems the ammo is more readily available as well
