    LPK for the Stag 10

When will a stand alone lower part kit be available for the Stag 10?

    Hi,
We don't offer the stand alone parts kit for the STAG-10.
Until today, we have only offered combos complete with LPK installed.
For the FDE set we listed today, it includes the proprietary parts. To complete them we offer the LPKs from Geissele/ALG and STAG-15.

Newbie question, Is the bolt catch the same on the Stag 10 as an AR-15?

I've got plenty of AR-15 experience but my Stag 10 receiver set is my first go at a 308 based AR platform.

    Thanks in advance.

No, if I recall correctly they are different - most AR10 based rifles use a larger, slightly different designed bolt catch to deal with the additional mass of the bolt and the heavier recoil/buffer spring.

^Makes sense. We were told the AR15 bolt catch fits, but to be safe, that option has been removed.
We do have STAG-10 LPK on order.

If we ordered the set without the LPK, can we now add it in?

I had a spare AR15 LPK kit kicking around I planned on using - but knowing that the bolt catch stuff wont fit, I'll save that for a rainy day/another build and just order the Stag LPK.

Also, is the grip that's coming with it the same Ergo one that was coming with the completed Upper/Lower sets?

So, another run at answering the question above. I inquired at Stag again today and it was confirmed the AR15 bolt catch will fit and does work, but the AR10 version is slightly larger and as implied by Twan, more robust. Makes sense. Take it as you will. Also had a couple of emails from people who read that above and mentioned they are successfully using AR15 bolt catches in other AR10s.

I have the list here of what AR15 parts fit an AR10 / Stag: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/foru...plete-list-now

I put up that list because I have been liquidating spare AR15 parts of mine and people responding to the ads kept asking if they fit the Stag-10... so if I was doing the research I figured I'd share it here on CGN.

The Stag 10 is basically an Armalite AR10 system: it uses the Armalite column for things like the firing pin retaining pin and such. ** Excluding, of course, the STAG proprietary parts to make it NR **

Thanks for the info! Good to know the AR15 bolt catch will work on a pinch. Assuming Stag still let the DPMS bolt catch screw vs pin though? Anyone able to confirm this.

    Cheers,
    Cody
