Yes, it is cool to see the difference as the war droned on, at firstvthey were nicely milled and by 42-43 they barely knocked the slag off them befor pushing them out the door, still just as robust and same accuracy just quicker!

I'm also curious about the barrels. I'd like to order one, but would not like a dark counter bored barrel. I'm also a mosin noob, so could someone tell me the difference between round and hex receivers?
Round = later production, quicker and cheaper to manufacture.
Hex = Earlier production, more expensive and slower to manufacture and stronk stronk stronk. Great shooters and will have collector value some day.
Edit: Second from left in back row(muzzles towards camera) in the picture is a hex receiver.
To me these look like refurbished rifles that somehow may have been damaged during storage, by moisture. Maybe they even saw more action after being refurbished. Either way definitely looks like these are some of the last ones we will see imported!
If I was local I would probably go in store and see if I could handpick one ! being in another province... I see some beaten ones in the pic that may end up in the mail :/
Would love to buy one if they weren't so beaten up lookin.
Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety
