    Rem 783 450 Bushmaster?

I see the Remington Canada website list a rem 783 450 bushmaster.

    https://remingtoncanada.com/en/products/firearms/centerfire-rifles/bolt-action-model-783/model-783-450-bushmaster-detail

Do you know when they will be available to purchase in canada?

What are you looking for out of the 450 bushmaster? I like my ruger chamber in it but it does leave a little to be desired compared to other big bores.

Why wouldn't Remington have a picture of it on their website? I find that a little odd. It's as if they're not advertising it.

Yup I want one! Any chance it will eventually come out in stainless? I don’t recall any of the 783 models in stainless, but even for an extra 150$ I’d pick one up.

Ruger already offers it in a very similar configuration. Remmy uses a 2 lug bolt, where Ruger uses 3. You think they'll still just have 2 lugs with that big bore bugger?

curious about the round...but how does it perform?

they say it is fairly flat out to 200, but what is the knockdown? how does it compare to the 45/70? who carries the ammo? how much a box?

frankly..I'm not very impressed with the 45/70 as a hunting round, I hunt the thickets...typical shot usually no more than 100. Don't like the fact that the 45/70 doesn't drop game with a solid hit in the boilerworks...they usually run a distance...even with the big hole.

I went back to 308 and 338WIN for hunting, the necked down cartridge delivers enough speed and hydrostatic shock to drop em in their tracks.

But if the 450 bushmaster works good, i'll sell my 45/70 and all my reloading gear to get into the 450

    thoughts??
