That case looks interesting, would fit a Browning SA22 quite nicely, available separately?:
The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

Check out the cases that Skinner sells, the flat takedown is available in different lengths(2" increments starting at 20" up to 28") and would be ideal.

Our Government trusts rivets more then law abiding gun owners.

I bought a brand new Savage 64 at Canadian Tire this spring and it's got a blued finish. Not sure how long it sat in the store of course.

Not sure if I'd pay double to be able to take the barrel off, it seems like I can't get through a 10rd magazine without a jam.

Agreed, had one with 5 mags and they all had feeding problems. Had to give each mag a touch up with a file to make them better

The sharp-edged, pot metal mag and stiff mag release are the downfall of this design. The gun is a pain to load, both literally and figuratively. And that's a shame, as it would have otherwise been a decent little rifle.
