    That is crazy- I thought Savage was going to be turning away from the 64 series and focus efforts on the A22 line.
    Would be interested to see a few more pictures before deciding anything.

    I did not expect this at all! I’m wondering if they converted existing 64 stock to make these. The barrel looks blued. Savage, from what I have seen, has not used traditional bluing on rimfire barrels for a few years.

    Judging by the giant knurled piece at the chamber end of the barrel, I would guess it's a tool free design. That is pure speculation though.

    I do need a semi auto 22lr, I'm not sure this will sway me away from a Marlin though...
