Nice scope. I don’t really see the benefit of this one over the 3.5-18x44 though? It’s heavier and no parallax adjustment. What are your thoughts?

The Z5 3.5-18x44 has proven to be one of the most versatile scopes on the market. However the new Z5 2.4-12x50 is geared for low-light, closer engagement hunting (i.e. moose, elk, deer, and bear). The gain in exit pupil/light-gathering in a 50mm objective at 2.4x vs. 44mm objective at 3.5x can make all the difference when an opportunity presents itself as dawn is breaking, or the sun is setting.

Thats alot of scope for the money.

Swarovski glass, about 16ounces, 2.5 -12 is a broad range for hunting in thick bush to moderate distance shots, and $1350-$1470 price range..

Would be a really nice optic for a mountain hunter that might wanna take a crack at a sheep/goat deer at 400+ yards but have low magnification for denser brushed areas where they might bump into other predators. At 16 ounces it gives up nothing other then cost to a lightweight leupold and a much better field of view and mag range. Perfect optic for a lightweight mountain rifle that your willing to spend money on to do it right.
