    Looks like the dovetailed slot for the rear sight but no rear sight.

    Maybe its suppose to model the M1 carbine prototype? It's an untapped market for collectors since there are several companies already pushing out WW2, and post WW2 correct reproductions.

    Hmm,maybe they aren't introducing the rifle at all.
    They are just introducing the M1 carbine ball ammo into their "Victory Series" of line of ammo.
