Remington model 7 ss HS

I am 6'2" and 200+. I built a model 7 in 300 SAUM about a year ago. It came with a laminated stock from the factory and it fit quite well. I switched it to a Wildcat stock, and was able to keep the LOP full length. With the pad installed it fits me really good (this is first build I have done and first long stock) it fits me very well, and is very effective.

Whats that weigh in at now with the Wildcat stock? Also, what did the wildcat run you?

Model 7 is a Bit Shorter action ( 1/2 ) then the M700 and the rear bridge where the scope base would mount is a shorter area by about (1/2) - Makes NO diff in the WORLD of anything ! the Ejection port area is actually longer by about (1/4) then the M700 - RJ

Excellent information, thanks RJ!.....:)

My New Custom Model 7 Remmy 6.5 CM with 20 " barrel weights in at 4 -14 oz and ready to shoot weight is 5-12 oz with a Leupold VX111 2.5-8 with Tally rings and 4 rounds of ammo ! RJ

Is that built on a standard Rem 7 action, or something fancy like one of the TI actions or something?

I wish they would make a rifle sight version with the HS Precision stock. That would make it truly what the Model 7 was designed for, a bush/truck gun.

Is that what it was meant for? I thought it was meant for smaller people/ kids/ women.
