question about savage

im looking savage mark 2 G and GY
instead of barrel length , is that any different like stock size .
also is it able To mount the scope on it later, how?
i want To get one of either for shooting practice with sight only and pass To my wife or kids To use it , so are u suggest G or GY

last question is how much for shipping?thanks

The Y in the GY represents youth model. it will have about 1'' shorter length of pull, and the barrel is 19'' as apposed to 21''.
both models are drilled and tapped for scope bases.
