The province of Quebec just gave the boot to the provincial Liberal party in our ladt provincial election. And when I mean gave the boot, we gave them their worst seat count in like 60 years IIRC.
So, yeah, I think those polls are as good as those one in the usa that stated that Hillary had 98% chance of winning.
Quebec has made a turn right that hasn’t been seen since Duplessis in the 50´s. Same thing with Ontario with the Provincial Conservatives.
Quebec and Ontario are a very different affair then merely Toronto and Montreal.
Why are those numbers scary? 61.5% of Canada's population gets 59% of the seats. Ontario and Quebec are actually UNDER represented compared to the ROC.
Look at a political map of the election results of Ontario and Quebec. Very little liberal support outside of the cities.
Excellent point. Now remind me what happened exactly happened in the last Ontario election? Right, the Liberals were crushed so completely that they didn't even qualify for party status.
Gun owners need to take a deep breath, pull their heads out of their own tired rhetoric and look at what is really going on. The two biggest provinces and two of the biggest liberal strong holds just absolutely gutted their liberal parties. Both the NDP and the Peoples party are set to siphon off large numbers of disaffected votes from the Liberals. None of the PPC candidates are likely to win, including Bernier himself. All of this bodes well for Conservatives in a first past the post election.
Government is a broker in pillage, and every election is sort of an advance auction sale of stolen goods. HL Mencken. 1919.
Even if you are correct, it is no excuse to rest on our laurels. The danger is still very high. Doug Ford won partly because of his "no-nonsense" persona, and had it been Patrick Brown at the helm, I think it would have been a different story. Now we have to deal with Andrew Scheer and Max, who's coming across as a stronger leader, which is not good for the CPC.ActiveWindow.ActivePane.View.Type = wdPrintView Application.ScreenUpdating = True Selection.WholeStory ActiveDocument.Fields.Update
One thing is for sure. This election is the most wildcard election we've had in decades.
If you don't have 12(3), 12(4),12(5), or 12(6) on your gun license, or if your PAL expires, the licensing system says your hands are "the wrong hands".
Gun owner licensing, keeping guns out of the hands of the law abiding. :
I am not trying to dictate who anyone should vote for, though I would suggest that the PPC are going to siphon very few voters from the Liberals - it's much more probable that they'll be taking votes from the Conservatives, and I suspect the Green party getting more protest or disenfranchisement votes from the Liberals. The impression that I get is that the Liberals will be siphoning votes from the NDP as they drift further left.

In Quebec the real danger has shifted, the Bloc Quebecois is gaining force and if they regain half the seats they had before, they will be draining it from the conservative party.
Yep, fixed wing is great but rotary wing is ... GREAT. Life is good. JP.
The major cities are the problem, the majority of city folk love their socialism and starbucks. These are the skinny jean trendy folk that cant think outside the box because their concert jungle has all their ammenidies and they dont have to engage their brains..it will be an interesting election in oct.
