Scar

It's being sold in Canada as XCR.

Been out of the forum for a while.

Who sold it before? Everywhere? I thought only IRG?
Is it Robinson Armament XCR? I’d like to see a website where it says sold out.

Sarcasm doesn’t translate through text very well haha.

It’s still in for approval as far as I can tell.the XCR-m is just “scar-ish”

FN SCAR's current FRT is still prohibited. There's supposedly another one on the docket for the past two years, but no words on that. XCR and ACR are sort of SCAR-esque, and were in the same competition as the FN SCAR, but lost, I think.

Joke becomes less funny if explained.

Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle Program. Had FN SCAR, RA XCR, ACR etc. So they are all technically SCAR rifles.

Both the xcr and acr (and bren) are better rifles. Scars are problematic and not worth the hype. Many spec ops guys ditched them for their m4 rifles again. That was the .308 version though, I hear the scar 16 is okay but wasnt good enough to replace the m4 and wasnt considered an upgrade. Either way, just get something established here and know it's not worse than a scar that costs 3k usd

I know what you mean..but for the sake of correct info for others who seek it, I'll post anyway.
No they aren't technically "scar rifles", they merely all took part in the scar program. The winner (or selected model) is given the name of said program. Xcr didn't even get to play since it was missing its blank firing adapter and disqualified... It's not a scar.

The glock 19x took part the the mhs xm17 pistol trials. Sig won the show with its ridiculous freak show low price. The glock 19x isnt called an m17, only the winner.

Lost supposedly due to the blank firing adapter not showing up on time lmfao

I agree. I was joking. Whole SCAR FRT thread was hilarious.

It is ironic though that JSOC operators use HK417 and not SCAR-H.

I did not know that! Holy heck, all that $$$ spent on R&D and someone forgot to bring a $20 part to the competition? That would have been an interesting phonecall.

Agreed. All these trials, lately, are such a crock and people just get greased to push things into service. The Hk I do think was able to stand on merit, for a change.

Haha yeah poor guy who was responsible for bringing it out.. he likely got a heavy paddlin from Mrs. Robinson

The XCR would interest me if the barrel was threaded into the receiver instead of held in with a machine screw...id want an m1a if it had a receiver integral with the trigger..don't like the fact that a plastic stock is what keeps it all together unless you get a safe or black feather which doesn't allow you to disassemble it...an FAL OR G3 would be perfect. Oh well
