Re: CBSA, I'm aware that they're coming in. I didn't ask too many questions. I've been told in the past, that they are not illegal, according to canada law, and it was only the cbsa making their own decision not to allow them and it's safe to own one.

I believe it's o.k. but in case I am wrong, I advise to do your own due diligence if worried about it.
