    Anyone else having a problem with the magpul pistol grip screw bottoming out on the lower and not being able to tighten it down

    This was disclosed a few months ago. Cut the screw with a hacksaw or similar device or use a washer. I used a 1/4 lock washer.

    Grease the threads, as well as a bit where the barrel nut contacts the barrel extension. Torque to spec. I just built 5 on Thursday with a reaction rod, nothing to worry about

    FAB defense. If it wasnt polymer I dont think i would have been able to tighten it down without it rattling around loose.

    Are the strike industries dust covers recommended? It's funny enough my last part of my build I haven't bought. Anyone ran these plastic ones yet?

    I put one on my upper. Easy to install and quiet when it pops open. It's fairly thick so easy to manually open when your on a stand and ole wiley is coming in.
