    If anyone else is hella OCD like me, cut 1 strip of hockey tape the same height as the rear lug and wrap it around. It takes up pretty much all of the slop between receivers. It's nice and tight now.

    Most Barrel nuts are going to have a large enough diameter that they will keep the pain from sliding forward. In the off chance whatever Beryl that you choose happens to be too small, it's pretty likely that your handguard will do the same job.

    can you show us? I've also used hockey tape on my AR's and almost everything else, got a roll in my range bag

    But what keeps the pin from removing rearward, if you don’t use a Cclip

    The rear hole is not machined all the way through. It's more like a socket.

    It's how a standard AR is designed to retain the pin, so yes.
