Next week I’ll let you know, it’s at the gunsmith getting a thread protector.

It’s the True North Arms overstock barrel, machining on it looks not that great.

I don't care about the barrel or accuracy, it's if it can physically throw the brass out the ejection port properly
If it's either loud, obnoxious, fast, hated by the general population or any combination of these, I OWN IT!!

Ran into my first snag tonight. I assembled two forward assist uppers with the Strike Industries Lightweight forward assist assembly. Slid the BCG into the first one without really checking things closely and had a ##### of a time getting it to pull back out.

Turns out that the forward assist assembly doesn't retract far enough into the receiver which causes it to stick out and catch on the serrations in the bcg.

You can see how far it stays sticking out into the receiver. Both of them with the SI FA assembly are like this.

The first forward assist receiver I assembled was done using a regular plain jane FA assembly and there is no issue with it. When retracted it doesn't stick out into the receiver.

Hopefully this issue is parts specific and limited to the Strike Industries assembly.

Wondering if anyone else who has their forward assist receiver assembled has ran into this?

I put a strike FA on one and it drags too. I can still insert the BCG though.

It's the first production run, he probably ordered about 11 months ago.
