That would make them an AR and be restricted.
These uppers and lowers are proprietary to themselves

Can anyone summarize the deal with certain buffer tubes not working? Can't find the post by ATRS on that before (when they were offering JP SCS for a bit of a discount back in November).

I realized I am short a buffer tube for this build and want to make sure it's the right one, I might put my Law Tactical folder on as well.

I asked ATRS about using a rifle length BT (receiver extensions), as when I tried to put mine on, it came up short and would not hold the buffer retaining pin in place. The solution was to take a bit of material off the flange of the buffer tube in order to screw it in all the way.

As far as other buffer tubes I am not sure, but all MILSPEC carbine tubes should be GTG.

Carbine tubes are good to go. I have one. It holds the buffer retainer how it should. The issue was where the tube screws into the lower is thicker than a standard lower and thus the tube doesnt protrude rar enough to hold the retainer down. As mentioned above the way to fix this is take material off the flange or run a jp scs. Only the first run is affected by this and has been fixed on the second run lowers. They couldn't fix this on the first run as they were already anodized and in customers hands. If you are in the second production rum of lowers this is a non issue. The jp scs were offered at a discount to the people in the first production run only.

I had a bit of an issue with my buffer tube protruding too far in. With the tube screwed in and indexed on its pin, the upper wouldn't mate far enough rearward because it was contacting the tube. I made a small modification and it works perfectly. I just removed some metal from the tube as seen below. Not sure if this is a common problem but I do recall some mention of it.

I once bought a set of tires for a car... and I kid you not, the dealership had the audacity to nickle and dime on every component of the car, from frame, to engine. Like wtf?

I clearly should have been able to drive off the lot with 4 tires. But they were adamant without an actual vehicle, it wouldn’t work. Worst tires ever known to man.
