    Lightbulb Happy 1911 day!

The m1911 was granted US Patent 984519 on February 14th, 1911 “Valentine’s Day”. This link between Valentine’s Day and the 1911 is ironic since it’s responsible for possibly the greatest firearm love affair. A lot of people say that no gun collection is complete without at least one 1911.

My favorite part about my 1911 is that she does not call me names or tell me what to do and how to do it.
    Uh oh, Canada

    I did it my way.

My baby boy Colt was born on February 14th this year. As I have a 686 .357 that my grandfather handed down to me that was born the same time I was, I am interested in getting a Colt M1911 that was “born” on or around the same day as he was. (The patent date being now why it’s going to be a 1911 instead of an 1873.) I will be calling you guys when I have a little more time as we just got out of the hospital but would love it if you could help me out with this!
