Red face Hello! New guy Here! Anyone owns a CZ 527M carbine?

I live in Oakville Ontario. New shooter. I bought my first gun (CZ 527M 7.62x39) a couple days ago. I am also looking for some shooting buddies.

After my first range day I found a crack on the walnut stock after 2 boxes of ammo. Anyone had this issue before?

It's a known issue with those guns, I'm pretty sure CZ will warranty the wood if you are the original owner.

If not you could repair the cracks with glue, bed the stock and relieve the wood a bit where the stress is.

Welcome Aboard. I would take it back to where you bought it and show them the problem.

Too bad I have read about this. My rifle has been fine for several hundred round so hoping it's fine. From the consensus reading about is so far often this is caused by screws being not snug from the factory or after cleaning and not tighten well or too much.

Howdy! You may get more responses if you post your question in the General Firearms Discussion forum.

Hi I have a new one myself, new manufacture with the oiled stock and fiber-optic front sights. I have several hundred rounds through mine and no issues so far. I believe CZ may have addressed the stock problem with the new models by adjusting the inletting at the rear tang, mine appears to be clear. if yours has the non fiber-optic then you may have an older version, the older version also has the semi-gloss stock finish.
Either way, try contacting the CZ warranty center for Canada. Wolverine sports I believe is the rep.
Good luck, the rifle is a very nice piece of equipment, well built and accurate, ( well, stock issues aside anyway ).
