    Didn't say, I'll ask.

Looks like half a dozen or so potentially interested so far?

Some interest in unrelated stuff. Lol they already have .450 BM uppers and stuff on the site. I'm trying to gauge interest in .458 SOCOM. I appreciate that they're similar, but that's not what I'm after.

You want an AR performance or equivalent bolt if you plan to shoot buffalo bore ammo or hot load the round.

This is rather evident with what Remington did with the 30rar. 450 bushmaster and 30rar started with the same 284win parent case. But to stop someone from using the weaker bolts from the 450 bushmaster or other big bore AR to do their own 30rar conversion they increased the rim diameter on the 30rar to prevent a kaboom.

To test my 30rar, my 450 bolt from my first conversion was used with the 30rar in testing, it was evident immediately that a custom bolt of stronger alloy was required if pressures were to be higher than factory loaded 450 rounds

If it's either loud, obnoxious, fast, hated by the general population or any combination of these, I OWN IT!!

If the price goes down on a bulk order I'd be interested.

Wow, I been paying $3 a round for 338 Lapua match ammo from S&B. If that is where loaded 458 ammo prices are going to stay in Canada, it will only be adopted by a few

I think they said if a bulk order were placed it could be as low as $59.99/box but I'm not sure how many constitutes a bulk order.

Regardless it's still pretty expensive if someone is simply buying it to make larger holes in paper.

Budget Shooter Supply carries 458 Socom brass, for those interested in reloading.

I would be in for one barrel, maybe two. Don't have a build started yet but the 458 Socom is a round I have had my eye on for a while. Seems like ammo and reloading components are more easily accessible than anything chambered for it.
