I am wanting a set of Level III+ plates...your shots show they stopped penetration from both 3 rounds of 5.56 and 1 round of .308 (if I read that correct, all shots were done to the same plate?)
You also stated that the 5.56 did some spalling and the .308 did a significant amount...did the anti spalling coating fail to "catch" it all OR did you just mean there was a lot of spalling but it was all caught/retained within the plate?!

    Thanks!!!

    Pre-order on the way!!!
Yes all shots where done to the same plate. We actually hit it with three .223s and two .308s but we only drew attention to the most notable impacts. The .223 round in the center of the plate managed to catch the majority of the spall and what wasn't caught was redirected back out and not towards the edges. The .308 round in the top corner generated significant spalling and while some of it was caught a large amount of it managed to delaminate the coating form the plate and send some spalling out the sides. However we have to be honest and the number of .223 rounds we hit the plate with before the .308 might have caused some of this delamination to occur in the area prior to the impact of the .308

Sounds about right/fair. Think you can as them to "beef up" the coating slightly on the steel models at all? Before the order comes through? Or maybe shoot a set while in a basic carrier and see if that helps catch any of it?

Spalling if flying up towards your neck/face can be very dangerous/lethal on its own right!!!

Most prices did a bit, US to CDN $$$ conversion rates, they forgot to do that at first.

We didn't do any testing on these ones due to the sheer quantity of testing reports on the helmets we where given. We will be testing one of the helmets from the first shipment and we will post photos showing the tests and how it looks on an actual person.

The price increase was due to us moving the base product from a single plate to a pair of plates. This meant that the discounts started for packages above that such as a full set of plates. The US vs CAD mixup was only for the steel. Once again we apologize for this, and we will change it on the first post.

Where did all the ceramic go? Did you knock them off the plate?

Also it seems like they arent true 10x12 plates as it appears theres a inch of padding around the plate so you're really looking at a 8x10 of protection.
