Last renewal was taking forever, finally when my current PAL had been expired for a while I made the call. The guy who answered listened to me quietly and my PAL arrived shortly thereafter. Not sure what the problem was, but it was rectified upon the phone call.

Even if there was a concern with the application then rcmp should have contacted OP in a timely manner!
