are the barrrels the same as on the HK416?
Same line but barrel extension has a tab on it that needs the mr223 bcg to be used. Or alternatively could be cut off for regular 416 bcgs to fit(although not sure about the legality, or other ill effects that might have.
These have the stupid barrel tabs, so you need to cut it off or run a MR BCG.

so 416 upper can run MR223 BCG, but MR223 upper cant run 416 BCG, right?
