He probably wants the compact grip of the 43.The 48 slide should fit on the 43 frame

Now I see. But still, the 48 and 19 are similar slide lengths, the 48 is a few mm longer so the barrel doesn’t stick out like the 19x.

And the 43X and 48 are the same frame, just different slides lengths.

The 48 in the gun to have and it comes with a Canadian complaint barrel. The mags are the same for both. I don't believe the standard 43 barrel fits the 43X which means it will be some time before there will be something available to allow these to come to Canada.
