Heads up for potential Modern Sporter purchasers.

Just a heads up for those who have been following our Modern Sporter.

April 15th will be the last day we take an order for receivers in the 2nd production run. ALL orders received after April 15th will be made in the 3rd production run. We expect to start working on production run #3 of lowers starting in late September. Once we have the lowers done move onto uppers again. Each run takes about 3 months so if all goes according to plan complete upper/lower sets will start to ship out in about March of the New Year, depending on which upper style we do first.
Also with our costs for aluminum bar stock increasing along with the costs of tooling, power, heat, insurance and wages there will be an increase in the cost of the sets. The exact amount we are still trying to work out but it is looking like around $100.00 per set

How much will the increase be on your restricted sets?

I’m not up to speed on production runs, which run will have the forward assist added to the upper?

I would also be curious to hear if other offerings in your product line will be impacted by these operational costs..

Clarification please: If we place an order for a Slick Side receiver set in production run two, it is still estimated for a late august to late september delivery, correct?

IF we were to run a production run of our AT15's again (restricted version of Modern Sporter) the price would be the same or slightly more than what a F/A Sporter is going to be.
There is exactly the same amount of material used, a little more machine time due to the added features the AT15, Varmint and Hunter have that the Sporter doesn't.
The next production runs of both Varmints and Hunters will also have to increase simply to keep up with the increased costs of doing business.
We don't like it but the fact is we either adjust pricing to cover costs or quit making these products.

We have sold out slick side uppers from production run #1 and #2 so orders for SS uppers will be in production run #3. Production run #2 of uppers and lowers will start to ship out in late August and will continue into September depending on when the order was placed.

If we already paid a down payment last week or earlier on an SS upper are we still good to go for production run 2 as advertised, and if not is there a way to know?
