    HK warranty

    Hi,

Asked this is general forum, thought do the same here as well if you don’t mind.

I was wondering what is the H&K warranty policy on a pistol damaged due to a squib load.? Replacement with no questions asked? A friend insists that is the case.

    Thanks.

I don't have the answer, but why would a gun manufacturer warranty that?

Sounds like an ammo issue, try the manufacturer?

    Hand loading voids HK warranty.

Factory load squib, contact the ammo manufacturer, they’d be interested to know the lot number too.

No reason for a manufacturer to replace a pistol that’s been been damaged by faulty ammunition & why would anyone even believe that would be the case ?

If factory ammo contact the ammo manufacturers support line.

If it's you hand-loads, just buy replacement parts (or a new pistol) and call it a lesson learned.

Yea I doubt the gun manufacturer would cover that in any case. Especially H&K. Not their fault. :/

that's like you filling your BMW up with propane, had a thermal event and calling BMW to get you a replacement car.

When I first started to reload, I bought Norincos just for that exact same reason. If I blow up a 300$ 1911 or a 500$ m305, no biggies.
