I own one, it's a decent rifle, just use 22 LR, it dislikes the shorts

Being a semi that is to be expected.

I'm buying a new (to me) truck in the coming weeks. If I can get one for under my price limit I'll be using the extra to buy a semi 22lr and this is in my top 2.

Are these new production or new old stock that was meant for the US in the 90s?

Interesting question. I don't remember these having threaded barrels before? I could be wrong though...

I bought 2 a few years ago. Either one would not load 1 single round. After 20 minutes of filing and polishing the feed ramps on both guns it fired very well. Kept 1 open sights and bought Weaver base for scope mounting on the other. Worked great. If you buy one be very careful when breaking it apart, very known issue of breaking the buttstock as you twist it off if you are not paying attention. Same as the Brownings.
